Hoa anh đào nở rộ tại Washington

Hoa anh đào hồng và trắng nở rộ tô thêm màu sắc cho thủ đô Hoa Kỳ và lôi kéo hằng triệu du khách mỗi mùa xuân, trong đó có những cây đã sống cả một thế kỷ. 100 năm trước trong tháng này, cây đầu tiên trong số 3.000 cây được trồng là tặng phẩm của thành phố Tokyo như một biểu tượng của tình hữu nghị.

Cherry Blossom Festival 2012 - Japantown - San Francisco

The event locations will be at various locations in the Japantown region, all within a block or two of the center's plaza. Most events are free to the public.

GRADE PARADE - Starting at City Hall at 1 pm, north on Polk, west on Post, concludes in Japantown at approximately 3 pm.

The 2012 Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday April 14-15 and April 21-22, 2012.

The festival will be held on Post Street between Laguna and Fillmore Streets. There will be food booths, cultural performances, karate, live bands, Japanese sword demos, tea ceremonies, taiko drumming, origami demonstrations and more.

- Festival: Japantown (@ Post & Buchanan Streets), San Francisco
- Grand Parade: Sunday, April 22nd at 1pm – Begins at San Francisco City Hall and ends at Post & Fillmore

The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is said to be the second largest festival outside of Washington, D.C. to celebrate the blooming of cherry blossoms; and held at one of three remaining Japantowns in the United States.
