Với kết quả này, UCV Vân Lê kể như lại một lần nữa hoàn toàn không thể có giấc mơ vào ngồi trong Hội Đồng Thành Phố SJ. Lần đầu tiên (2008) Vân Lê ra tranh cử chức nghị viên ở khu vực 8, năm đó cũng có 2 UCV gốc Việt khác cùng tranh cử (Minh Dương và Lan Nguyễn); bà Vân Lê đã đứng chót. Năm nay (2014) bà Vân Lê lại tranh cử chức nghị viên khu vực 7, lại đạt được hạng kế chót (trên bà Bửu Thái) :)

Sự thất bại trong những cuộc tranh chức dân cử (nghị viên), cử tri đã nhìn thấy được bản năng của Vân Lê, dù chính bà có khoe khoang thành tích gì thì "chân tướng" của Vân Lê vẫn không thể giấu diếm. Vả lại như tôi đã nói trong góp ý ở trên, "Ngưu tầm ngưu, mã tầm mã", đã đủ để đánh giá UCV kia sáng giá như thế nào. Bà Vân Lê tưởng được tờ báo hàng ngày lâu đời Việt Nam Nhật Báo, Calitoday, Viet tribune quảng cáo, tâng bốc thì chắc "ngon ăn" nhưng hạng "ký giả" chỉ sống vì tiền không giúp được gì mà có khi còn hại thêm nữa là khác!

Thí dụ như trường hợp bà phó thị trưởng Madison Nguyễn được nhà dzăng Đỗ Vẫn Trọn "lăng xê", "bơm thổi" bằng một bài tâm thư gửi các bạn trẻ và được chính giọng "nhừa nhựa" của nhà dzăng đọc trên đài do ông làm chủ, bức tâm thư đó được đọc liên tục. Đọc ít thôi thì người nghe còn phê nhưng đọc hoài thành ra người nghe thuộc từng câu, rồi mới chết cha ông nhà dzăng viết gì mà lăng nhăng, ví von "nếp, tẻ" cứ lẫn lộn để lừa thính giả trẻ; thính giả già thì bịt mũi cười quá! Đã ghét bà Madison dối lường, khinh rẻ cử tri gốc Việt, nay nghe đọc bức tâm thư của ông nhà dzăng Đỗ Vẫn Trọn đọc trên làn sóng phát thanh ... lại càng thêm ghét, hổng thèm bầu cho cái thứ đổ đểu! :D

Hết thất cử khu vực 8 ra tranh cử Khu vực 7 - lại thất cử, thôi chịu khó chờ 2 năm nửa xem Khu vực nào Nghị viên sắp mản nhiệm thì tiếp tục tranh cử tiếp - mà nếu có thất cử nửa cũng đừng nản cứ tiếp tục ... và tiếp tục .... vì xung quanh Vân Lê có ê kíp Nguyển mộng Hùng - Nguyển ngọc Tiên ...... ngoài ra còn có 2 tay thợ chửi chuyên nghiệp lại còn tăng cường thêm báo Vệt Nam Nhật Báo, Calitoday, Viet tribune ... như vậy lực lượng ủng hộ quá hùng mạnh sợ gì mà không đắc cử.

Bây giờ tôi mới có chút thì giờ ghé vào VL để góp ý thêm về cuộc bầu cử thị trưởng & nghị viên khu vực 7 - San Jose.
Sáng sớm mở máy vào xem kết quả cuộc bầu cử sơ bộ ngày 3/6/2014 thì được biết ông Dave Cortese vẫn đứng đầu bảng và bà Madison Nguyễn đứng hàng thứ ba (kẻ bị loại khỏi vòng chiến!). Kết quả đang hiển thị trên đường link (http://results.enr.clarityelections....n/summary.html) như sau:

So sánh tỷ số phiếu bầu cho Madison Nguyễn là 20.93%; trong khi Sam Liccardo có tỷ số phiếu bầu là 25.34%. tỷ số chênh lệch ~ 4.5%. Thế mà đám bu quanh Ma, tiền kiếp là "ao giòi" vẫn còn lên tiếng "hy vọng vẫn vươn lên trong lòng ..." biết đâu có kiểm phiếu lầm lẫn không? :D Tôi chỉ biết chép miệng, phải chi tụi mày đừng ồn ào vây váy bà nghị Madison làm cho bà ta lầm tưởng "ao giòi" là tuyệt đại đa số ủng hộ thì nghị Mad không đến nỗi kiêu ngạo, vênh váo xem thường cộng đồng người Việt ... để giờ đây lãnh nhận một kết quả u buồn, tối tăm phủ xuống con đường sự nghiệp chính trị của bà ta.

Nghị Madison thất cử thị trưởng 2014, là niềm vui chung của cả cộng đồng người Việt vì từ nay TẤM GƯƠNG TÀY LIẾP: PHẢN BỘI CỬ TRI NGƯỜI VIỆT, LÒNG DẠ MANH NHA BÁM THEO VẸM thì kết quả sẽ phải chuốc lấy là sự tẩy chay của cử tri, như Al Hoàng ở Houston, Texas và Madison Nguyễn ở San Jose, California.

Từ đây cộng đồng người Việt tại San Jose sẽ an bình khi bóng Ma không còn xoè móng, nhe nanh hù doạ bà con nữa.

Vì về thứ ba, nên tạm gọi ma đắc cử chức "Vice Vice-mayor" vậy.

Chức này được một người bạn của tôi nói rõ về nhiệm vụ của ma sau khi mãn nhiệm kỳ vice mayor như sau:

Nhiều nghề lắm , mà đương sự đang " nóng lòng " xin được " Job Interview " ASAP , sau khi " rớt đài " do tội phản bội với chính lý lịch " tỵ nạn CS " ( dõm ) mà đượng sự và cha đương sự thường vổ ngực xưng tên .
Ai có thêm nghề nào hay và tuyệt chiêu thì nhớ cho đương sự " Apply " nhé .

Tôi rất đồng ý với bác Trình là không nên đánh người đã ngã ngựa, thất thế.

Cuộc bầu cử sơ bộ đã qua (2 ngày) rồi, nhưng dư âm của sự vui mừng cũng như những nỗi buồn thậm thượt vẫn đang kéo dài ...
Ai bảo không nên đá kẻ ngã ngựa, đó là vì dù sao người Việt (chính gốc) đã thấm nhuần tinh thần thượng võ; tuy nhiên nếu xét cho cùng thì cũng còn tùy trường hợp để không "đá kẻ ngã ngựa"!

- Sự việc bàn thảo trên diễn đàn không phải là "những cú đá" "physical", ở đây chúng ta chỉ nhắc lại những gì từ bấy lâu lý phải (chính nghĩa) của cộng đồng người Việt tại San Jose đã bị chà đạp bởi hành xử của bà nghị viên gốc Việt Madison Nguyễn, để rồi cả quan chức chính quyền thành phố này đã coi thường cộng đồng người Việt chúng ta. Nhiều lần chúng ta đã cố gắng lên tiếng đòi hỏi công bằng, trả lại danh dự cho cộng đồng người Việt nhưng tiếc thay cơ hội chưa đến (Recall Madison Nguyễn bị bọn chính trị vây hãm) và ngay trong cuộc bầu cử 2010, Madison Nguyễn lại "thoát lưới"!

- Bao nhiêu ấm ức đó đè nén để chờ đến ngày bầu cử sơ bộ 3/6 năm nay (2014). Có câu: "Quân tử trả thù 10 năm chưa muộn", nhưng cộng đồng chúng ta ngậm đắng nuốt cay mới chỉ chưa tròn 4 năm thì đã được kết quả "lôi cổ" Madison Nguyễn xuống khỏi lầu 18, tống luôn ra ngoài Toà Thị Chính San Jose. Kết quả như vậy bảo sao không vui, nói sao không khỏi nhiều lời :) . Sướng lắm chứ, đã quá đi chứ! :D

- Ai bảo tôi "tiểu nhân" chơi xấu "đá" bà Madison Nguyễn khi bà ta đã té ngựa, tôi chịu ... tôi không "ke" đâu, xin quý vị thông cảm cho tôi nhé! :D

- Qúy vị ở gần không hiểu hết nguồn cơn đau đớn của cộng đồng người Việt tại San Jose phải chịu với cái đám "ao giòi" bu quanh bà Phó thị trưởng Madison Nguyễn trong suốt 7 năm qua. "Ao giòi" chúng nó mượn kết quả thóat "Recall Madison Nguyễn" để làm bằng chứng rằng bà ta đã được đa số cư dân ủng hộ và cộng đồng người Việt yêu thích danh xưng "Little Saigon" chỉ là đám thiểu số to mồm và rằng Saigon bé tẹo! Chúng còn vo ve vo ve, nào là Madison Nguyễn là người có tài hơn hết các đồng viện nên được nhận chức Phó thị trưởng 2 năm liền! Hạng "Ao giòi" chỉ biết nhìn trước mắt chứ chẳng biết những cái "mờ ảo" sao hậu trường chính trị thành phố SJ ... Chúng nó tưởng không ai phản bác được điều chúng nói "có sách mách có chứng", nên chúng càng già mồm, to họng. Không ngờ ngày 3/6/2014 là ngày "Trời" giáng xuống đầu Ma Rít bằng KẾT QUẢ TRÊN GIẤY TRẮNG MỰC ĐEN, hết chối cãi, rằng toàn thể cư dân San Jose đã BẤT TÍN NHIỆM PHÓ THỊ TRƯỞNG MADISON NGUYỄN, GIÁN TIẾP TRẢ LỜI RẰNG MADISON NGUYỄN KHÔNG CÓ KHẢ NĂNG LÃNH ĐẠO, CHỈ CÓ KHẢ NĂNG TRÍ TRÁ VÀ LỢI NHUẬN CHO PHE NHÓM. Thí dụ một việc nhỏ: Trước ngày bầu cử thị trưởng mà Phó Thị Trưởng Madison Nguyễn còn ngụy tạo "GRAND OPENING" VƯỜN VĂN HOÁ VIỆT (ký giả Lê Bình đã nói tóm tắt là ... khai trương cổng chào!). Việc nhỏ gây hại lớn, lỗ nhỏ có thể đắm thuyền. Madison Nguyễn thất cử thảm hại!

12 REASONS WHY NEIGHBORHOOD LEADERS DO NOT SUPPORT MADISON NGUYEN

Because Madison supporters are attacking me for not voting for Madison. I would like to discuss why I do not support her:

1. PUBLIC SAFETY / CRIME - San Jose used to be the safest large city in America. Violent crimes (murders, rapes and homicides) have doubled in district 7 since Madison has gotten into office. Property crimes have gone up 30%, but residents are not even calling the police anymore, because they know the police are not going to respond.
My neighbor stopped calling the cops after the second time his car got broken into. He said it took them 8 hours to respond. He finds no reason to call them anymore. I met a person who was raped. She had a black eye and broke teeth, and she didn’t even call the cops. Just because people are not calling the police, does not mean crime is not happening.
Response times have gone up remarkably, and police are not even responding to “minor offenses” being reported.
Madison supported eliminating 300 police officers, 25% of the total sworn officers in San Jose. Madison supported cutting the police salaries 10%. Madison supported illegally cutting the police pensions 30%. The police officers sued the city for this illegal action, and won.
Crime has doubled in district 7. The quality of life has decrease, and the people are suffering the consequences.

2. DEBT – The City of San Jose has $8 BILLION in debt. Madison added $4 BILLION in debt while she was in office. The general fund is $1 BILLION a year, when will we pay off this debt? Never
The city is paying $75-150 MILLION in interest each year, at a variable 1% interest rate. If the Federal Reserve raises interest rates to 4%. The city will be paying $300-600 MILLION in interest each year to banks.

What did we use this money on?

Affordable Housing – Her claim to fame is that she built more affordable housing units in District 7 than anyone before. These Units cost $30-60 MILLION each. They don’t pay property tax, so the residents around them end up paying for their share of property taxes. They don’t have parking spaces, making traffic and parking worst. They want to force people to use public transportation People don’t use public transportation still, instead they just make traffic and parking worst. These units end up losing money and costing the city MILLIONS to bail out. The minimum income for these units is $20-40 THOUSAND a year. These units don’t have homeless people or poor (<$20 THOUSAND a year). It only helps lower middle income people.
New Libraries - The city already has 23 libraries, all of them are open 4 days a week. Why build 4 new libraries if the ones we have cannot even be fully staffed? Madison supported building more libraries instead of trying to keep the ones we have open 7 days week. Madison supported the Library parcel tax to get more money from the people for libraries. After the parcel was passed, Madison supported cutting the library hours to 4 days a week.

Convention Center Expansion – Why did we expand the Convention Center in the middle of a great depression?
Airport Upgrade – $1.2 BILLION Upgrade of the airport, and $500 MILLION in interest. We spent $1.7 BILLION to upgrade the airport in 2008, during the middle of the great depression; we decide to put the city into more debt.

Why did we build all these things, when crime is up, roads are not being repaved, libraries are closed? To pay for big developers to erect expensive government buildings that we don’t need. We need money for police, and libraries, neighborhood clean ups, roads, Not more money to build expensive projects that don’t need and don’t have the money for.
Madison supported the big developers for hundreds of millions of dollars, to build affordable housing, new libraries, upgrade the convention center, and airport so that they would support her for mayor. But did they support her? NO. They used her for all she had, and threw her away. It was the Vietnamese community which supported her for mayor.

3. VIETNAMESE COMMUNITY – Madison promised in her 2006 campaign an in her re-election in 2010 that she will build a Vietnamese Community Center. As of today, she has done nothing. Madison is proud of the fact that she built 12 affordable housing units in district 7. All of which was built on loans, bonds and more debt. Each one cost $30-60 MILLION but, she can’t afford to build a Vietnamese Community Center valued at $60 MILLION.

Vietnamese Heritage Plaza – continues to sits there uncompleted after 7 years of Madison in office. The Mexican heritage plaza cost the city of San Jose half a millions each year. Vietnamese? We can’t even get a community center or heritage plaza build.

The two main Vietnamese groups in San Jose do not support Madison. She does not attend their events, and instead competes against them to try to run them out of business. Madison divided the Vietnamese community into two groups which both hate Madison. Since 2006, Madison, VietVoters and VAC NorCal have fought and divided the Vietnamese community and continue to do nothing good for the community. VietVoters – A non-profit organization that teaches, ESL, Citizenship classes, organizes Vietnamese cultural events. She hates them, and has made it public that she wants to destroy them. Vietnamese American Community of Northern California - Another non-profit that does community work in San Jose. She has never attended their events or recognized their existence. Other council members and candidates attend their events, and Madison, if she really wanted their vote, would have attended.

4. BETRAYAL – Madison has betrayed all of her supporters who helped get her elected.

Vietnamese American Community of Northern California - They helped put Madison into office in 2006. She betrayed them with Little Saigon in 2007.

Democratic Party – They helped her on her 2006 campaign, helped her on her recall in 2007 and helped her on her reelection in 2010. She betrayed them by teaming up with Democratic Party’s enemies in 2011.

South Bay Labor - They helped her on her 2006 campaign, helped her on her recall in 2007 and helped her on her reelection in 2010. She betrayed them by teaming up with the Chamber of Commerce in 2012.

Police Officers Association - They helped her in her 2006 campaign, helped her on her recall in 2007 and helped her reelection in 2010. She betrayed them with Measure B in 2012.
These organizations gave her money, volunteers and support. She betrayed them all.

5. ROADS - 80% of the roads in District 7 are NOT being repaved. San Jose roads rank the worst in the nation. When Madison started office 100% of the roads were being repaved. Today only 20% of our roads are being repaved. Where did all the money go to?

a. TRAFFIC – Traffic has doubled in district 7. Traffic lights in D7 have not been re-timed in 8-12 years! This adds to the traffic, it is simple to fix, but Madison does nothing about it.

b. STREET LIGHTS – Street lighting in D7 is 30% turned OFF. She can’t even keep the lights on.

c. TULLY ROAD OVERPASS improvements – Madison claims to be responsible for the Tully Rd overpass improvement. The improvements were passed before she got into office.

d. CAPITOL EXPRESSWAY OVERPASS improvements - Madison claims to be responsible for the Capitol Expressway overpass, the expressway is property and responsibility of the County, not the city. Madison had nothing to do with this.

6. UTILITIES

a. WATER RATES – Have gone up 44%
b. SEWAGE RATES - Have gone up 33%
c. GARBAGE RATES – Expected to increase 50% in the years to come.

7. MADISON DOES NOT LIVE IN DISTRICT 7 - Madison lives in a $2 MILLION mansion in Evergreen. - Her address is 2136 Shadow Ridge Way San Jose, CA 95138. - Madison has lived in this house since 2009. - Madison does not live in District 7; she has lied to the voters all these years about her registered primary residence.

8. HOMELESS ENCAMPMENTS - There are more homeless people in District 7 than any place in the entire United States. Homeless people live in the Coyote Creek that runs through district 7. Homeless people come up off the creek, and break into people homes and cars.

The homeless scare the residents and children of D7. I’ve seen and stopped a homeless guy from chasing a teenage girl down the street near the homeless encampment. They also live in the parks and use the park and businesses restrooms. Children are no longer able to play at the park.

The homeless people are Bad for businesses, business people have complained of homeless people sleeping in front of these stores, giving customers a hard time. Homeless people slow down traffic, litter the streets, and pollute the creek.

What has Madison done about the homeless problem? NOTHING. Madison proposed using motels to house homeless people.

9. NEIGHBORHOODS ASSOCIATIONS – Even though Madison Nguyen has 10 neighborhood associations listed on her District 7 website; only 3 are actually meeting. The other 7 neighborhood associations are not meeting at all. Besides for Robert Sandoval [West Evergreen Neighborhood Association], The presidents of all the other Neighborhood Associations : Jerry Broyles [Alma Neighborhood Association] Moses Ramirez [McLaughlin Corridor Neighborhood Association] Steve Navarro [King Ocala Neighborhood Association], have all been making complaints to Madison Nguyen for years, and have received no response or lack of response from Madison. Most of the neighborhoods do not support Madison Nguyen.

Every City Council District has a community group. District 1 has, D1 roundtable, District 8 has D8 Roundtable, District 5 had District 5 United, etc. When I asked Madison to help support a community group in District 7, she said that will be too busy collecting prom dresses and cannot help with starting the group.

10. PROM DRESSES – I do not argue that collecting prom dresses is not a nice thing to do, but the responsibility of a council member is not to collect prom dresses. But, the responsibility of a council member is to make sure the roads, police, sewage, water, electricity, libraries and business are all operating efficiently.

While the city is falling apart. Madison fails to take approipate action to make it better, and is instead using city funds to collect prom dresses. Madison should be making sure the city is operating efficiently, she should be doing her job; not collecting prom dresses, which is not her job.

11. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (RDA) - Madison used $120 MILLION of RDA funds to redevelop “the Plant”, and the place next to “Tropicana”, the only two non Vietnamese shopping centers in District 7. She could have used that money to redevelop the 10 Vietnamese shopping centers she has in her district: Grand Century, Vietnam Town, Lion Plaza, Senter Plaza, Marina Plaza, or any other Vietnamese shopping center; but instead of developing the Vietnamese part of District 7, she uses the money to develop the only two non Vietnamese shopping centers that she has in District 7. Why did she not use the money for Vietnamese businesses?

12. LITTLE SAIGON - After 3 months of protest, and thousands of Vietnamese people coming to protest the name Vietnamese Business District, two other council members from another district, Kansen Chu and Dave Cortese, had to go in and propose to change the name of Madison’s district to something else. Why couldn’t Madison have proposed the name change of her own district, instead of having two other council members Kansen Chu and Dave Cortese do it for her?

After months of protest outside of city hall and protests all over San Jose. Madison would not let people call D7, “Little Saigon”. It reminded people of when Saigon fell, and people were no longer able to call it Saigon.

Who does she think she is? This is a FREE COUNTRY, where the people make the decisions that affect their life. There are two types of politicians in this world. Ones that want to give you more freedom to do the things you think is best for your life. And there are those who want to control you, they want you to do things based on what they like, based on their own preference and desires.

In this country, it is not up to the government to tell us how to live our lives. It is up to the people to make the decisions for themselves, for better or for worst. And it is because we give our people the freedom to do what they want, they are more likely to do the right thing since they are the ones who have to live with the consequences.

There are some societies that don’t view that our freedom is ours, that it belongs to the government, and that the government can take away your freedom at anytime. In America, we protect one’s freedom to live their life the way they want, so long as they do not infringe on the Life, Liberty, and Property of another individual. It is Un-American for Madison to be forcing her views onto other people.

In Vietnamese culture, we are taught NEVER to talk back to our parents or elders. Madison should know that.
Working with Communist – Madison is working with well known communist businesses in America. These organizations are owned by wealthy Vietnamese families in Vietnam that are closely related with the Vietnamese government. Some of these communists were responsible for overthrow the government of South Vietnam and are still active in the government today. Some of these communist were the very ones who oppress and imprisoned, our fathers, our mothers and our elders. There are many Vietnamese people in America upset with Madison for this.

Public officials can get away with whatever they want. It’s okay to talk about politics. We need to get the ball rolling again. We need to start talking about politics.”
