Kính thưa quư vị,
Như đă thông báo đến quư vị vào hôm thứ Năm (31/3) vừa qua, Tổng Hội Cựu Chiến Binh Úc (RSL Australia) đang dự tính tham dự một cuộc diễn hành chung với bộ đội Việt Cộng vào năm tới để kỷ niệm 50 năm sự tham chiến của Úc vào chiến tranh Việt Nam.
Trong thư trước, chúng tôi đă gởi đến quư vị Thỉnh Nguyện Thư gởi cho Thủ Tướng Úc, bà Julia Gillard, và Ngoại Trưởng Kevin Rudd.
Tiếp theo đây,chúng tôi xin được gởi đến quư vị bức Thỉnh Nguyện Thư viết cho ông Ken Doolan, Chủ Tịch Hội Cựu Chiến Binh Úc (RSL Australia) để nói lên sự phản đối của chúng ta và lời yêu cầu tổ chức RSL Australia hủy bỏ cuộc "diễn hành ḥa giải" nói trên.
Kính mong:
* Quư đồng hương;
* Quư hội đoàn, tổ chức, đoàn thể (cộng đồng, cựu quân nhân, văn hóa, xă hội, tôn giáo v.v...)
theo cách thức sau đây để kư tên cho Thỉnh Nguyện Thư này.
Chúng tôi cũng ước mong được quư vị giúp phổ biến đến các thân hữu, đồng hương, tổ chức, đoàn thể khác để các Thỉnh Nguyện Thư thu thập càng nhiều chữ kư càng tốt.

1. Mời quư vị bấm Thỉnh Nguyện Thư gởi Chủ Tịch Hội Cựu Chiến Binh Úc để kư tên yêu cầu Hội Cựu Chiến Binh Úc (RSL Australi) hủy bỏ cuộc "diễn hành ḥa giải" giữa cựu chiến binh Úc và VC

Dear Mr. Doolan,
We, the undersigned, refer you to the above article published in The Australian on Tuesday 29 March 2011 which we read with dismay and in disbelief.
We totally empathise with the “process of healing” taken by some Australian Vietnam Veterans when they re-visit old battlefields in Vietnam like Long Tan, Cu Chi etc… as individuals or groups of individuals. And it is not the purpose of this letter to debate that even those personal visits are propagandised by the Vietnamese authorities.
Our objective here is to let you know that we are very disappointed with the idea of the “reconciliatory march” proposed for next year to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Australian involvement in the Vietnam War because of the following reasons:
1.- This anniversary march should be celebrated with ex-allies of the Australian Vietnam Veterans including the South Vietnamese, Americans, New Zealand, South Korean, Phillipino and Thai ex-servicemen, NOT with the enemies;
2.- Parading with the old foes is the betrayal of the spirit of this military co-operation which was to stem the spread of Communism in South-East Asia;
3.- Parading with these former enemies is the betrayal of the sacrifices made by 512 Diggers during the course of the conflict;
4.- The parade will be seized upon as a great political and diplomatic victory by the current Vietnamese regime which ranks among one of the worst in human right records in the world;
5.- Finally the parade will reopen old wounds and cause great distress among members of the Vietnamese community many of whom were RAVN ex-servicemen and your allies during the war.
We therefore would like to suggest that:
1.- The “reconciliatory march” be replaced by the 50th anniversary “celebratory parade”;
2.- Only ex-servicemen (or their representatives) of the 7 allies armies be invited to participate.
