Fred Pham is an Australian Cancer Research Foundation supporter. He has terminal cancer. And he is a winner! The Foundation is more than pleased to announce that Mr Pham has taken first place as the top individual fundraiser for the 2010 City2Surf.
As a participant in Australia’s biggest fun run, Mr Pham raised an amazing $30,000 for cancer research, and was then rewarded with an additional $10,000 donation by race organisers, the SunHerald.
The school teacher and father of five participated in the City2Surf to raise awareness of cancer and highlight the importance of supporting research into its causes and cure.

Who is Fred Pham?
Diagnosed with terminal cancer and given just months to live, Fred Pham - father of five, teacher and inspiration to many - challenged himself to finish the 2010 City2Surf despite overwhelming odds, raising vital financial support for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation(ACRF).
A group of young Australians are continuing his legacy, committing to run a series of major races in 3 states to help Fred reach his life's dream of raising $100,000.
We are looking for 500 supporters in each state to donate a mere $50 each and help Fred get across the finish line.
1500 people. 3 states. 1 cause.
Hundreds of people (500 each state in fact) are joining together to support the inspiring Fred Pham and his target to raise an amazing $100,000 for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF). And we need your help.
Dedicated to finding a cure for cancer, the ACRF finance facilities not provided for by government, filling a vital funding gap in Australian cancer research funding, with the potential to produce real breakthroughs for cancer patients.
