Đang đi lùng hình trận bóng , mà chưa thấy đâu cả .

Ngày xưa , mùa đá bóng , là tụi này cứ xách túi đậu phọng rang và bình cà phê nóng , vào sân Cộng Hòa ( đường Nguyễn Kim ) đấy .

Có lần đang múa may , hò hét thì nghe có tiếng phía sau " Chào Cô " , thế là mất hứng , phải ngồi xem nghiêm chỉnh . Thứ Hai vào là bị đám quỷ học trò đem chuyện đá banh ra để ...câu giờ .

Trận bán kết , Mỹ gặp Pháp chắc cũng sẽ hào hứng không kém .

10 woman USA battled through a hard-fough match against Brazil to win on penalties and advance into the semi-finals of the Women's World Cup

The two-time world champions took the lead in the second minute when Daiane put into her own net. Shannon Boxx did very well to keep the ball in play down the left before crossing dangerously into the six yard box. Abby Wambach charged towards the ball but it was Daiane who got there first. The defender, under pressure, completely mis-kicked the ball as she sliced it past her goalkeeper into her own net.

Eight minutes later USA had another half-decent chance to double their advantage. Amy Le Peilbet’s free kick was attacked by the onrushing Wambach. The striker got her head to the ball but Andreia, in goal for the Brazilians, managed to deflect it out for a corner.

The Brazilians, despite their undoubted talent in the final third, rarely created anything from open play during the first half. Most of their chances came from set-pieces. Marta whipped in a couple of good corners and free-kicks which were attacked by Aline at the far post but the defender was unable to convert either.

The only time the 2007 World Cup runners up did trouble Hope Solo in the USA goal was when Fabiana’s cross/shot caught out the keeper and cannoned off the bar. However, had it been on target Solo would have made the save.

The second half was a very similar affair to the first. The American’s controlled a lot of the possession but rarely created a real chance. Brazil also seemed very lacklustre during the second 45, lacking urgency in the final third as they have done throughout most of the tournament.

It took 20 minutes for anything to happen, but when it did it changed the game completely. Marta flicked the ball over Rachel Buehler and bore down on goal before being pulled to the ground. Buehler was sent off and Brazil were awarded a penalty. Solo saved the first penalty from Cristiane but the referee adjudged USA players had encroached and the penalty was made to be taken again. Marta stepped up to convert and get her side back into the game.

The World Player of the Year, Marta then scored again in extra time to put her side in the lead. Ester did very well down the left flank to cross which gave Marta the chance to beat her marker to the ball and flick the ball towards goal. The effort looped over Solo before ricocheting off the far post and into the back of the net.

Brazil sat back and allowed USA to attack. Two-time world champions USA continued to attack but it looked like it was going to be one of those days. That was until the 122nd minute when they equalised. Rapinoe’s cross from the left was missed by Andreia and it was Wambach that rose highest at the far post to head home.

The first four penalties were scored but it was Daiane who made the mistake that ultimately cost her team. Her penalty was too close to the keeper which allowed Solo to save. The American’s held their nerve and Krieger scored the winning penalty to put her side into the semis.
