Cuộc 'tuần hành cầu nguyện' sáng 17/6 thu hút gần 1.000 giáo dân Song Ngọc tham gia, Linh mục Nguyễn Đ́nh Thục cho BBC biết.
Các giáo dân giáo hạt Văn Hạnh, Hà Tĩnh cũng xuống đường tuần hành sáng 17/6.
Buổi tuần hành của giáo xứ Song Ngọc diễn ra sau lễ sớm, bắt đầu từ 6 giờ 15 ngày 17/6 và chỉ kéo dài khoảng 30 phút.
"Trong lễ sáng, tôi có nói với giáo dân về Luật An ninh mạng đă được thông qua và dự Luật Đặc khu tạm dừng nhưng có dấu hiệu cho thấy chính quyền quyết tâm thông qua," linh mục Thục nói qua điện thoại từ Nghệ An.
"Điều này rất nguy hiểm cho sự an toàn của đất nước, và chúng tôi không thể làm ngơ trước vận mệnh của dân tộc."
"Chúng tôi chỉ đơn giản tuần hành một đoạn đường, không hô hào, chỉ cầm khẩu hiệu phản đối. Vừa đi vừa đọc kinh cầu nguyện."
Ngay sau cuộc tuần hành, toàn bộ giáo xứ Song Ngọc bị cắt internet và điện thoại, không ai nhận được cuộc gọi đến nào, cũng như không thể gọi đi đâu.
"Chúng tôi bị cô lập như thế đến khoảng 12:00. Có lẽ chính quyền nhận thấy chúng tôi không tổ chức biểu t́nh, tuần hành ǵ thêm nữa nên cấp lại internet và mạng," linh mục Thục nói với BBC.
"Lẽ nào họ đă áp dụng Luật An ninh mạng dù luật này chỉ được thực thi từ tháng 1/2019? Nếu vậy, chúng tôi rất lo lắng và đau ḷng. Nếu họ có bắt bớ, đàn áp chúng tôi sáng nay th́ không ai có thể biết được tin tức."
Trả lời câu hỏi của BBC về việc kết hợp làm lễ và biểu t́nh, linh mục Thục nói giáo xứ Song Ngọc không có chủ trương cụ thể nào, nhưng trong những t́nh huống cần phải lên tiếng các giáo phận th́ sẽ lên tiếng.
"Giáo xứ Song Ngọc từng là một nơi trù phú, nhưng nay dân phải bán thuyền. Hậu quả từ vụ Formosa rất nặng nề. Nay hai bộ luật trên nếu được thực thi sẽ là mối nguy của dân tộc," linh mục Thục nói.
