Peut-on ignorer l'invasion?

@MegaComments123 @MegaComments123 Thank you for your appreciation. With my limited English skills, I am not sure when/if I will be able to have an English version. However, do not worry. If I do not, I am sure someone else will. If the Vietnamese communist regime has tried to stop Viet Khang from expressing his patriotism inside Vietnam in his native tongue, many others have united to voice on his behalf in Vietnamese, French, English and others in many countries. His voice will be LOUD & CLEAR

Việt Nam tôi đâu? - Where is my Vietnam? - Việt Khang
I would like to dedicate this English version to our young hero Viet Khang.
Who is Viet Khang?
Viet Khang -- born Vo Minh Tri - is a young Vietnamese songwriter and singer in his thirties. He was arrested by the Vietnamese communist authorities on December 23rd, 2011 for simply having composed and sang two patriotic songs ( "Who are you" and ""Where is my Vietnam") emphasizing the concern of the Vietnamese people, facing with the gradual invasion of China. During the year 2011, hundreds of people staged multiple anti-China demonstrations in Vietnam to protest against the Chinese incursions into the Vietnamese maritime borders. Ironically, several protesters were incarcerated or brutally oppressed by the Vietnamese police - without trials. Viet Khang, highlighted these tragic moments in his songs which warrant his arrest incommunicado.
With my limited english skills, I have attempted to produce an english translation (mostly from my french version) that I could sing. I sincerely hope this effort could help spreading the case of Viet Khang to the english-speaking community worldwide. Let's sing for Viet Khang together and pressure the Vietnamese communist authorities to release Viet Khang- immediately and unconditionally. Our heartfelt Thank You!
I happened to learn that about the Petition to the White House initiated by the Vietnamese-Americans. Please support and sign at the link below. Good luck to all !!

Where is my Vietnam? (originally "Viet Nam Toi Dau?" by Viet Khang)
Vietnam, my dear! Half a lifetime already passed
And now I truly know
What a life! When the war has ended
Our Motherland, suffering to witness lives
Ones are poor, others are hungry
Powerful are rich, dishonest
And now, Vietnam, do you still exist?
The chinese are destroying our homeland
In our seas, many Viets' innocents
Have been killed by the chinese gunmen
As citizens of Vietnam
Can we ignore the invasion?
Brothers, sisters, respond to our nation
men and women, fearlessly
Raising our hands, olds and youngs
Fight invaders also cowards
Who betrayed Vietnam
Where is my Vietnam? Where is my Vietnam? Where is my ... Vietnam?

Anh La Ai?
M'interdisant, d'exprimer

I sincerely hope this effort could help spreading the case of Viet Khang to the english-speaking community worldwide. Let's sing for Viet Khang together and pressure the Vietnamese communist authorities to release Viet Khang- immediately and unconditionally. Our heartfelt Thank You!
Who are you? (originally "Anh la Ai?" by Viet Khang)
Tell me, who are you?
Why jailing me, what have I done wrong?
Tell me, who are you?
Why beating me without the least mercy?
Tell me, who are you?
Why stopping me from professing?
My love for this country whose people have too much suffering !
Tell me where're you from?
Why stopping me from opposing China?
Tell me where're you from?
Why insulting in our native tongue?
Where is your origin?
Why cowardly serving enemies?
Then leaving the mark
That your hands have stained in our blood
I cannot sit still
When my country is collapsing
My people will be sinking
Into thousand years of eternal darkness
I cannot sit still
For the future of my descendents
What will be their origin?
When this world has no trace of Vietnam

Nice Translation!!! BUT GO TAKE SINGING CLASSES!!! I've heard a cat sing better!!!

@ChocoLuverz Thanks for your comments. My goal is to sing for VietKhang, and to expose to the world that the Vietnamese communist regime has arrested an artist for expressing his patriotism. And I have succeeded. With 20,000 viewers, 2000 from Vietnam, these people now know about Vietkhang's songs have been translated in many languages, viewed in many countries. If you join my effort, Vietkhang will be free sooner and you can listen to him singing live. I am sure it is better than a cat., Cheers.

Terwijl Vietnam gaat instorten
Waar liggen onze wortels?
